Another option, a safer and more preferred option, other than steel toe is composite toe boots. These boots are able to withstand roughly 2,400 pounds of pressure and protect from falling objects, and are made with a non conductive material like fiberglass, plastic, or kevlar. If an active electical line was in direct contact witht these boots a shock would not occur.

Composite boots do not transfer heat or cold to your feet, they are 30% lighter than steel toes boots and withstand around the same amount of pressure.
