Spreader & Equalizer Beams

Before using a lifting beam you must visually inspect the beam for damage.

Check condition of attached hardware, slings, shackles
Ensure hardware pins, links and other retaining devices are secure
Check for Working Load Limit (WLL)
Visually check the welds for cracks or splitting.
Check beams for straightness. Any bends or deflections require the beam to be removed from service.
Do not exceed the working load limit of the beam or attachment hardware.
Do not shock load lifting beams.
When using a spreader beam be sure to move slowly. Because of the force at the ends of the beam, moving too quickly may cause the beam to collapse.
