Recognition of the public interest is a permanent commitment of any Company in the conduct of its business. The activities of the employer and its employees must always follow all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations. Employees occupy positions of trust and confidence. In discharging their responsibilities, each employee has a duty to serve the employer, in good faith, in a manner that he or she reasonably believes to be in the best interests of them and its stockholders and with such care as an ordinary prudent person in a like position would use under similar circumstances.
Colleagues also have duties of candor, care and loyalty to the company in which they work for. Not following the code could result in breaching laws and regulations and, of course, damage to our reputation. For individuals it could also mean disciplinary action or dismissal. It’s therefore essential that you’re familiar with the code, and that you follow it. If you have any questions or concerns about what the code means or how you should behave in a particular situation, contact your line manager or local HR team for advice.
