Fatigue can result when you do not get enough sleep or do not get quality sleep. It can impair your driving, similar to alcohol impairment. A survey of the U.S population found that 37% of workers got less than the recommended minimum of 7 hours of sleep. Sleepiness and fatigue can be a serious threat to safe vehicle operation. Fatigue is physiological and can be affected by our psychological factors. It is important to acknowledge fatigue and how to cause it from happening, lessening any chances of injuries or fatalities.
