The process of creating plastic generates secondary resin and residual products: spilled pellets, off grade production, granular, and purge chunks. While this secondary resin is not prime, it is still of extremely high, virtually-prime quality and is perfect for a variety of applications. Nevertheless, if it doesn’t meet the specifications required to carry the brand name, it essentially becomes waste material. At one time, the only way for major producers to deal with the residue was to dispose of it in landfills, a solution that was both bad for the environment and socially irresponsible. Aware of the damage being done to our natural resources and the economic waste of polymer residue, petrochemical producers demanded a safer, more responsible solution.
