- Driving accidents due to slippery roadways
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Being struck by falling objects
- Roof collapse under weight of snow
- Burns from fires
- Exhaustion from working extended shifts
- Dehydration
- Back injuries or heart attack while removing snow
