Experience shows that equipment is only as good as the role of people who are in the security operation. There are many companies that have spent a lot of money on physical security that have not properly invested in the people that can make the systems work.

An outstanding security staff is important. Does your Security Director have access to the training and resources that are necessary for the job? Are they trained in behavioral emergencies? Do they know how to deal with dangerous employees? Do they know how to manage threats?
