MARSEC Level 1

US Coast Guard Maritime Security MARSEC Level 1

MARSEC 1 means the level for which minimum appropriate security measures shall be maintained at all times. MARSEC 1 generally applies when HSAS Threat Condition Green, Blue, or Yellow are set. Level 1 is the day to day operation that requires a percentage of all passengers and vehicles to be screened. Along with other requirements, this percentage will rise
as the MARSEC level is raised.
